The Nice Lice Lady Follow-Up Instructions

To prevent a reinfestation, we suggest you inform any family member, friend and your child’s school that your child was found positive for head lice.

By telling others, you give them the opportunity to prevent a head lice infestation within their families and you prevent your family from becoming re-infested as well.

Launder: Clothing, bed linens, towels, backpacks and pillows in hot water with detergent and dry on high heat or dry clean.

Vacuum: Carpet, upholstery, rugs, chairs, mattresses, couches.  Remember to vacuum the car upholstery and child car seats.  This should remove any nits that have fallen off into your home.

Bag Items:  Place stuffed animals, pillows, hair accessories and anything that is plush and unable to be washed in an airtight plastic bag for one-to-two weeks.

Boil: Clean brushes, combs and hair ties with hot water and soap to remove lice and nits.  Bring water to a boil, take off burner, and then soak for 20 minutes to kill any lice and nits.  You can also put these items in the dishwasher on a high heat cycle.

Spray: Use The Nice Lice Lady Furniture and Bedding spray for everything and anything else!
Bike helmets, children’s car seats, furniture, mattresses, clothing, backpacks, toys, hair goodies, blankets, pillows, vehicle interiors, carpeting, etc…

You will need to re-comb your child’s hair every other day for 8-10 days.

  1. Shampoo hair and rinse.
  2. Put conditioner on the hair and comb out all tangles, do not rinse.
  3. While conditioner is in the hair, use your Lice Comb to comb through hair.

Make a center part; starting at the top of the parted hair, comb through to the bottom of the hair and wipe on paper towel.  Repeat combing until you have combed the entire head.

Use The Nice Lice Lady Mint Spray Repellant each time you or your child is in a high risk area for lice. For example, returning back to school, camps, sport teams, sleepovers, etc…
